There is more to it than that, a big one being architecture. There are alot of factors that play into it.

the new cards no longer go by pixel pipelines, instead they're using the approach ati has taken and go with pixel shaders instead.. its the reason why the x1900 series could keep up with only 16 pixel pipelines

it means they have a different approach towards processing graphics.. and not only that, its got quantum physics on it... no more need of your physics card... once games utilize this you'll see what the geforce 8 can really do

so does that mean what?the g8 has better quality and 7950 gx2 has a more performance touch to it? or just means g8 is better? cause gts is still cheaper than gx2 fro some reason
