Mjmitch2 In Runtime Messages 152 Nov 10, 2006 #4 I used a Ti4200 AGP 128mb card in one of my old PCs before, its quite the workhorse!
b1gapl Mod Emeritus Messages 13,044 Location USA Nov 10, 2006 #5 I think 4200 wins here. But isn't the 9550 DX9? The 4200 is DX8 I believe. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

OP OP SYL\X/3K I know <html>, do you? Messages 1,646 Location 127.0.0.1 Nov 10, 2006 #7 both cards are off by a bit, the geforce is faster in speed, but the radeon has more memory
b1gapl Mod Emeritus Messages 13,044 Location USA Nov 10, 2006 #8 Either 4200's faster clocks, or 9550's more memory and DX9. Maybe get the 9550 and OC it a tiny bit?

Radeon 9550 is not fast enough to take the advantage of 256MB memory, so the extra memory doesn't improve performance at all. The only advantage that Radeon 9550 has over Ti4200 is that it supports pixel shader 2.0 (DirectX9.0)
