Thanks... that looks like a pretty good option, and cheap to boot. Now if I can disable the onboard integrated in BIOS...

I'll post an update when I get it in in a couple weeks.
 
Update on HP a1450n video card

So I wanted to update the integrated gpu on my HP a1450n AMD x2 4200+. This model is limited out of the box with a 300W power supply, so I bought a low-end graphics card on Newegg for $50, a PNY 6600. I installed it very easily and the graphics are great. I have tested it with Quake 4, Medieval II, and Civ4 and it plays all of these with high settings on 1024X768. I was really impressed with how a little 6600 can tackle these somewhat demanding games.

For those of you thinking of purchasing the a1450n, there appears to be enough space in the HP box itself to upgrade the psu to a slightly larger unit. When I next have cash, I will probably try to put a 500-750W supply inside so I can upgrade to a 7900GS or some such monster.
