check it there... the x1950 pro beats the 7900gs in alot of things.... but then again, i've seen other sites where 7900gs does better than the x1950pro in alot of things... to me, their about even.. i've even seen places where the x1950 beats the 7900gt

eVGA 7600GT is till cheaper, and why should I compare the price of 7600GT with a card that is not in stock ?

and that is a retarded statement.. thats like saying i can't compare a corvette zo6 to a dodge viper because the vipers are out of stock...

i am no fan boy of either side.. i like both nvidia and ati, but i am simply defending competition between two things

the 7900's didnt come out until like a year later...

X1800xt came out in the end of October 2005, then after about 2 weeks nvidia released 7900GTX 512, which was better than X1800xt.
And also don't forget than X1800xt was barely able to outperform the 7800GTX (256MB) which was released 5 months earlier than X1800xt

Ati then released X1900 in Jan 2006, then nvidia answered them by releasing 7900 on march 2006.

So, you are wrong 7900 didn't come after year

but their response to most of which is x1900... and the x1900xtx can take on a 7900gtx and then some.. and this is a fair comparison...

Then why don't you find a comparison between the G80 and the 7950Gx2? because it's a company thing to see who has the better card. Thats what the article was about, and that was the intent behind this thread.

There you go my friend, 8800GTS compared to the 7950GX2. And I agree that comparing the G80 to current cards is valid, because even though it is a next-gen card, it is also a current card - unlike the R600.

In that website ^^ the 7900GTX and 7900GT were performing better than 7950GX2, so that is a fake benchmark because 7950GX2 is the best card on the market and it must outperform 7900GTX and GT on any game
