ok putting together pc build, wanna get input before hand, making sure everything is compatable and whatnot, i may have overlooked something, anyway here is what i have so far...

case:

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16811133154

proc:

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16819115003

gpu:

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814130066

memory:

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820145034

now you'll notice there's no mobo, i couldnt really decide on what so i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions? also not rock solid on the gpu, lemme know if you know of a better one. i have all the hdds, monitors, etc.. oh and any suggestions on a sound card would be great, i'd like to keep mobo, proc, memory, gpu, case, and sound card around 1500 usd. i'm a heavy gamer, so performance is a must lol thanks for any replies

almost forgot, need a psu too lol

You dont really need a sound card. Just use the onboard... Also that GPU is cheaper and faster than the one you had, and the ASUS P5B is a very good motherboard. :)

wow thanks for the reply

another thing, i heard that if i buy a gpu now, it wont be compatable with directx 10 with vista, myth or fact? if so would it be worth it to wait and get a dx10 compatable card?

You know, Tech Forums should come out with their own line of custom built PC's.

haha or at least a sticker for the case like :designed by the team at TF!
