I am waiting on my video card for my build, and it should be here in a couple of days. I have a question about partioning the hard drives.

Once i have everything hooked up and i am ready to install windows, how do i go about partioning my hard drives. I will have a 320 gb hard drive that i would like to make 3 partions on. A small partion for windows and then a couple larger partions.

Do i need some software?

I guess i just need someone to walk me thru the steps because I'm a noob and have never done this before, lol.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Remember that if you want:

"X" GBs...thats "1024X" MBs and "1048576X" KBs

So if you have to make your partitions in KBs, multiply your desired GB value times 1048576 to get the exact KBs you need.

partition magic is the best, and did'nt your hard drive come with a cd for partitionig. Make sure not to make windows partition 2 small. I personally do not partiton it givesme a headache when making dvds and authoring them. I would rather get a decent Hd for windows 160Gb and add another HD for files storage and stuff like that.
