PS2 Modifications

Just broke my cd rom for ps2 is there a posibility to substitute a CPU rom for the PS2 rom?

Well, after looking Here, it shows that you're not supposed to use a different drive for a PS2.

This Here is only a replacement lens, if the drive is dead, you're in bad luck.

just curious of how u droken it ?
does it make grinding sounds when u put a disk inside?

it fell smacked against a computer table chipping the wood then fell again a few minutes from my friend tripped over the wire. thanks talldude for the info. the disk try doesnt even open grinding noises included took it apart and tried fixing it probaly caused more damage than i can fix. Ill just wait for ps3
