Rig Build Advice

Hey, I'm about to make a massive newegg purchase and build a new gaming computer. I'm going for pretty close to top of the line without getting into the insanely expensive peak zone. I am a general beginner at building pcs, so I don't want to make asome sort of compatibility mistake. Listed below are the components I am probably going to use; what I would like to know if I will be bottlnecked by any of them, whether they will work together, and a few specific things:

1)is there a valueselect version of corsair 800mhz ddr ram?
2) is a digital raptor drive really worth it?
what's the best fairly cheap 19-20.1 inch 1640x1000 widescreen lcd?
3) Is the Geforce 88000 GTS going to be vastly inflated in price when it comes out?
4) Does 965 vs 975 matter on the chipset (I dont need bells and whistles like wireless, just speed)
5) Is it usual to have to install extra cooling in addition to the stuff that comes stock?

1) i doubt it ... if there is value select it is prolly close in price and 667
2)havent heard of or seen dig raptor... doubt it is....
3)THAT is pretty much garrentted (speelled rong)
4)i was wondering the same thing... i heard a few things bout the 975 wiht compatabliity or sumthing .... not 100 on it tho
5) for what cpu ? if you dont plan on ocing it should be fine... if ocing go wiht tht zalman .....

1. no
2. no... get a couple of sata II type drives and RAID them to get the same performance...
3. same as above... maybe not over inflated, but very expensive.
4. not much difference, but 975 can support the EE CPU's
5. most people will have aftermarket cooling of some kind. it's personal preference. cooling with the newer chips is much better due to the heat they generate, so I agree with above... both with ZALMAN if you do, and stock is also good if you not going to OC.

without a dedicated raid controller card (I'm not sure I need/ want to mess with that, but the SATA interface seems alot faster and newer than IDE)

hard drive and mobo will work... sata will work with just about all system now a days..

unless you are timing it, you will not even see a difference in the 7200RPM compared to the 10K... save your money and go with the one you picked...
