And is that processor better than the amd athlon 64 x2 4200+ AM2?

I'd get an ASUS mobo, that one is ok, but the ASUS boards are great. like this one

yeah its a good gaming rig, again, an ASUS board would be better

and i'd spend the extra dough and get a E6400 its def worth it.
