Wait or buy?

I have saved up to 1050USD.
Should i wait for the G80 series to come out, so i can get the cards for cheaper?
Or
Should i buy right now?

Anyways, how much longer till G80?

If i was to buy right now, what would i get?

I would wait if I were you.
I think they are going to be released before the end of the year.
Current CPU's and GPU's prices will all have dropped by the end of the year thanks to Quad core and DX10 cards. So you'll get a better bargain if you can't afford a brand new CPU and/or GPU then.

G80 is supposed to be released the 8th of November I believe, and I think Kentsfield is to follow shortly thereafter if not on the same day.

Ok, i quess i'll wait, that's in like 1-2 weeks right?
So the prices will go down in about 2-3 weeks?
I should have about 1300-1500 by then.

I can only recommend waiting. Shouldn't be too long (supposed to be Nov. 8 but it will most likely take a little while for the public to start getting them).

I'm now am only able to use a pentium? running at 400MHZ and a second one at 800mhz oc to 1033MHZ.

i thought december 7th was the date??? oh well.. either way, i think they may be bluffing.. i see almost 0 results for this g80.. and hardly any pictures.. and it seems no manufacturers are receiving any 1 week away from production.. what is going on?
