ATI drivers to Nvidia?

Ok well I ran into some problems earlier with my experiences converting ati driver to nvidia driver. So I was just wondering what the correct procedure is going from a ati video card to nvidia as far as installing drivers.

hey xxdeadweightxx, soo get me right, u had a ati card, but brought a new nvidia?, but are having problems installing drivers, i take it ur using xp?, in theory you should just have to uninstall the ati drivers, and just install the nvidia ones.

true to put in the new card just go to the hardware tab you should know what im talking about then right click and uninstall drivers, then just power down put the new card in and windows will install the drivers for you, or use the ones on the CD, or just get the latest forceware, sometimes you dont even need to uninstall drivers well the windows ones at least to put a new card in, and yes i've done it
