Which of these GPU is better

I can't wait to see the difference when I finally install my 7600GT that I just received, along with a 3700+ and 1gb ram, because I'm coming from an FX5500 AGP, P4 1.8, 1gb ram.

I strongly disagree with you
The 7600GS is much better than 6600GT, because it has more pipes and more vertex shader. and 7600GS uses newer technology.

But I say get 7600GT if you want to see a big difference

The 7600GS is only marginally better than the 6600GT. Plus, the 6600GT has higher clocks, and has GDDR3 memory, whereas the 7600GS has DDR memory. The 6600GT also has higher memory bandwidth.

I'd say it'd be a pretty close call. It's down to pipelines vs. clocks and memory.

The 7600GS isn't so good. Infact, the 6600GT is better than it in a lot of ways...definately try to get the 7600GT, not the 7600GS.

it ios beter hard ware wise but when u look at the performence charts the 7600gt fills pixels and textures faster then the 66 and puts out more mvertice/s

But I agree with you that there isn't a big difference between 6600GT and 7600GS.
