i have a k8v-x motherboard and i was wondering if this mother board supports dual channel memory. this webpage seems to think that it does:

http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/BIOS/Asus/Asus-K8V-X-Bios-108.shtml

however asus webpage and this other webpage dont say anything about dual channel memory support for this board.

also on the crucial website it says that this mobo supports ddr400 ram...is this true?

http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=K8V-X

although again this website disagrees on support for ddr400 ram.

anybody know if i can run some dual channel ddr400 memory on this board or not? i would really appreciate some help.

Thanks

this is a 754 socket board, and i just found out it wont support dual channel...will it support ddr400 single channel though i wonder?

I think the first thing you need to do is read My Guide To RAM.

Ok now that we have that cleared up, your motherboard can support DDR400(PC3200), but your motherboard nor CPU socket will support running RAM in dual channel.
