Which of these GPU is better

just wondering, my old comp has a NX6600 GT running 256mb, now i can run F.E.A.R on low medium and Battle Feild 2 about the same. Now a new comp im getting is gonna have a 7600GS/GT (not sure which one yet) running also at 256mb.

Well im sure that the 7600 is better is it going to give a noticable improvement graphics wise????

Yes, the 7600GT will be a very noticeable improvement over that 6600GT.

You should be able to play both F.E.A.R. and BF2 on high settings.

yes try to get the 7600GT has GDDR3 and seems to have a bigger improvement over a 7600GS.

I have 6600 (not gt) and I play FEAR on 1024x768 on medium setting.

What cpu and how much ram do you have? because as I know both FEAR and BF2 need a lot of ram and powerful cpu to run smoothly. Video card is not every thing.

The 7600GS is much better than 6600GT, because it has more pipes and more vertex shader. and 7600GS uses newer technology.

But I say get 7600GT if you want to see a big difference

the 7600GS will outperform the 6600 but not by a huge margin mainly as all the 7600GS's iv seen use DDR2 where as the 7600GT uses GDDR3 and has a significant improvement over the 6600 and 7600GS.

True the GT has better clocks the GS is just a "tamed" version but for a little more go with a 7800

7800??? those overpriced pieces of crap!!! the xfx 7900gt is like 230 dollars now, thats lower than any 7800 price

go with a 7900 if you can the 7800s arent being made anymore so it will cost you way more then its worth to get one.
