Just made a booboo! (ATA/SATA)

Hi,

Sorry, Mr 1 poster here, but please don't hold that against me!

Ive just had the misfortune of whilst bagging a great deal on a 60gb 2.5" hard drive off ebay i misread the connector and found out that it is a SATA.

Now my aging laptop has an ATA-6 connection, and fruitless searches on google have left me bewildered!

Does anyone know of a converter for SATA to ATA that is either cable, or 2.5" based?

tis a good idea, and one that i will more than likely fall back on, but i think my lappy will need a flash of the bios to enable usb boot support (the current hard drive i have installed is starting to click and buzz... and WILL die soon... and TBH, id prefer an internal solution, but thanks!

the USB adaptor is about the only thing you might be able to use on an older laptop...
