980$ CAN Build w/o Graphic Card

Hey, i have a question for you.

I took a long time making these two builds. Tell me if there is a big difference between them.

COMP 1:
- Antec Sonata II w/ 450W SmartPower 2.0
- LG Super Multi DVD Writer 16x16x10 DVD +/-RW Dual-Layer, Beige (OEM)

- Seagate 160GB Barracuda 7200.9 SATA II w/ NCQ, 8MB Cache
- Mushkin XP2-5300 Xtreme Performance Black Series DDR2 SDRAM, 1GB Dual Pack
- MSI P965 Neo-F w/ DualDDR2 800, 7.1 Audio, Gigabit Lan, SATA II, PCI-E x16
- Intel Core™2 Duo Processor E6300 1.86GHz w/ 2MB Cache

Side Notes: I will not overclock, I do not game that much (7 hrs a week).

The first one is around 250-300 dollars more expensive.

i think you should be fine with the 2nd build, but i cant stress enough instead of getting 2x512 get a 1gb stick, that way you can upgrade better in the future when vista is out and what not
