Plan to Buy Laptop

I plan to buy Laptop..
I don't really know which one to get.

I looking at price range of about 1000 or less.
It will not be used for gaming.

What would you recomend to get?

Thinkpad T60 my brother has one, very reliable and long battery life, also has a core duo, and ok for light gaming

I have an HP Pavilion and I'm really liking it. I just got it at the beginning of September. I've had no problems with it at all. I got one of the higher end ones, with the expectation of it lasting me several years, at least.
