MAJOR mobo vs cpu dilllema!!!

im choosing between getting a:
DFI LanParty UT nF4-D with X2-4600

OR

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D with FX-55

what im having trouble with is whether i should go dual-core (4600x2) or stick with single-core but have a slightly better mobo with faster processor?

i want the X2 but dunno about the latter single-core build....
and if anyone has a suggestion about a better mobo for the X2-4600 that would be appreciated.

Go with dual-core, you can always overclock that CPU to easly match the speed of the FX-55 and dual-core will kill that CPU in multi-tasking obviously.

Get the Ultra-D with the X2. Ultra-D's are like 110 bucks over at Newegg I think, just picked one up a few days ago. Great motherboards, just don't use Antec Smartpower psus with them...

i cant get the ultra-d with X2, or else i would.
the nf4 ultra DFI mobo doesnt support X2
