I'm looking to build a gaming computer from scratch, purchasing parts from www.newegg.com. Ofcourse, it's no big deal to buy from somewhere else, but that place is like a home, and good service. Anyways,

The gaming computer needs to be cheap. 800 dollar budget. I'm thinking 40gig HD, 512K RAM, with a pretty video card to boot. I'm getting this shell: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-144-023&depa=0

If someone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. I'll be here, shooting caffeine and Dr. Pepper into my bloodstream. :D

Oh yes, this is my first computer and I am leaning towards AMD products, but I will do whatever, if it's cost and performance worthy.

X-Dreamer II 65.00
AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 138.00
NF7-S 90.00
Cossair PC3200 256x2 140.00
Maxtor 40 GB 55.00
ATI Radeon 9600XT 173.00
SB Audigy ES 45.00
Lite-On CD-RW 40.00

Total 746.00

Good enough? Just ask soemone you know for a Windows XP CD.

X-Dreamer II case man... I would recommend a black case instead of the blue one you're eyeing. I got the black one myself and I think it looks very nice. Be aware that the intake holes in the front will have small hairline cracks if you're guna remove the front bezel, but it's barely noticable unless you look at it closely.

Oh yea, get 512kb of the memory recommended on the mobo. I'm not sure what memory is good for the NF7-S, but I'm guessing Cossair is a good brand.

It's looking good. I also asked another forum, Ctrl+Alt+Del, what they think. They gave me this:

Also, I just found a build that a friend Dat Ho gave me, tell me if there's anything different (for better or for worse) on these three builds. I'm sorry if I'm taking this to the extreme, but I want the perfect gaming machine. :)

Well, as perfect as you can get for 700 dollars.

It is probably not as good as those before-mentioned ones, but it's helluva lot cheaper. Oh, and the case isn't included in that price.
