Is AGP really dead?

I have a P4 2.8ghz and 700 MB of RAM....Im out a very tight budget and couldnt afford a card over $200 (7300gs), thanks for all the advice ill try for a 6800 and see how it works

i like how every one says the same thing as the person above them......lol....i dont care....im just bored at school.....and my analytical brain happen to pick that out;.

Well, they are all right. AGP is going to be around still for a little while, but fewer motherboards will have AGP, so it won't be too long.

I would just go with the xfx 6800gs, my friend has it, its way cheaper than the 6800gt unless something changed. It is overclocked and runs faster than the 6800gt .. i cant remember if its only pci-e tho :/

Anyway agp and pci-e have about a 1-2 fps difference at this point, so pci-e u cant really justify upgrading unless u already need a new motherboard.


Read some reviews/benchmarks.. they tell the stories

If you can find a BFG 6800GS grab one,Just about every single one i've seen have been able to unlock to 16/6
