what for air cooling?

i plan on getting a e6400 and i need to know the best air cooling i can get from newegg.... i have no experience with aftermarket cooling... thanks

Although the stock cooling is good enough, here are two if you plan on overclocking:

would the typhoon work on the intel E6400?? i thought that was for amd cpu's??? and would the sythe ninja be better than the typhoon??

The typhoon supports both Intel and AMD. I'm not sure, but both look good.

i remember reading the ninja is just better than the typhoon and cnps9500, but i think they were using an AMD chip

As a wild card what about the sonic tower (with a mid mounted 13cm silentwheel fan). Can be used totally fanless if not overclocked and not being thrashed.

Cooling is very impressive. (e6600 idle at 28-31 degrees) with the fan on lowest speed.... overclocked to 3.3Ghz.

Installation is an absolute nightmare on LGA775 boards. Involves a long staick and a pair of brass balls.

i'd have to say, cnps9500, ninja, or sonic tower... sonic tower is the best air cooler as of now, ninja falls behind it, and cnps is just shorly behind the ninja
