IE problems Once again...

Okay, I have posted asking for help on this before, and it worked, but now that won't work either...

The problem is this:
I cannot save images as anything other than bitmap, no .JPGs, no .GIFs, the default is set to bitmap for the file type, and the dropdown menu to change it doesn't work. I tred cleaning my cache, running spybot, and ad-aware, deleting all temprary files and folders, and all recent downloads. tried restarting and preforming those actions in safe mode. I STILL cannot save images as JPEG or GIF. and I kind of need to do that... could someone tell me how I can fix this?

Updated everything 2 days ago. It turns out it was something on the site that I was trying to get the image off of, every time I went to that site my save options stopped working until I cleared the temp files again. I managed to get the images from the person that made the site via MSN.
