Everest Ultimate Edition (Trial) is reporting that my cpu temp is 72C for core 1 and 65C for core 2. However, I set my motherboard to notify me if the temperature goes above 60C. I have it overclocked to 2.96ghz now. I think that everest is reporting faulty temps, but I'm not sure.

Edit:

I checked my temps in bios and it said that the CPU temp was 47C-48C. I'm beginning to think that everest is lying to me.

I've tried downloading a bunch of temp reading applications, but the results I got were all varied too greatly to matter.

Everest has been known to have errors like that. Your BIOS is the closest you will get to actual temp (provided your temp sensor isn't fudged up like mine).
