i have a thousand dollars that i want to spend on a gaming system. i want to build one actually. the thousand dollars is just for my computer, not for like keyboard and monitor etc. i am going with intel and i have always liked nvidia. so any suggestion for a 1000$ gaming system.
thanks

not only video card, but can you guys also reccomend a powersupply intel processor and intel motherboard, ram, and each and everything that is need for the gaming system

thanks

Intel conroe any one you want 6300, 6400, 6600, 6700, 6800XT, but if i was u id wait for the Intel quads to come out cause games such as alan wake will require minimum a Quad core.
If you really cant wait till middle of 2007 then id suggest this

An asus Intel 775 mobo any will do, make sure to go over 130$, cause mobo is very important and you want a good one. One asus could be the P5b. Or what i heard was that ASrock was coming out with extremely good high end mobos with better price/perfomance specs. My sister has a ASrock mobo and it is very good.
Asus P5B
ASUS P5B-E Socket T (LGA 775) Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

157$

eVGA 512-P2-N573-AR Geforce 7900GTO 512MB 256-bit GDDR3
253.99$

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
77.99$

BUFFALO Select 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)

199.9$

Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-500 ATX12V 500W Power Supply
74.99

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Conroe 2.13GHz 2M sharing L2 Cache LGA 775 Processor
220$

and a DVD rw wont cost u more than 30-40$ and that makes

833.99$
so after the dvd rw youll have around 130$ left... so you could go with the e6600Conroe, more power and morce cache.
