Multiplier

When I turn down a multiplier and turn up the bus speed does that mean I'm going to need to turn up the vcore to achieve the same processor speed?

No. Its just the acctual Speed that matters.

You could have like a 500 FSB and a 5 Multi and have a 2.5 Ghz CPU.

Of course doing this, your ram would be WAY behind and Im sure your motherboard would need more juice.
