overclocking an amd athlon 64 3500+

I used the bios and got the frequency up to 203MHz but if i go any higher there is just a blank screen.

I had to clear the bios and was wondering how i can overclock higher without that happening?

Could i use a program?

I moved it up to 225Mhz the temp is 114ºF idle and i was wondering if thats good? I am using the stock fan. thats 2.47 Ghz it says.

i'm not sure if thats good.. i 'm used to looking at a celcius scale

If it's 45c full load then its fine. if it's the idle temp then its' no good. try Prime95 CPU test for 8-10 hours and if you get no error + no over heating (below 50c load temp), then you are good.
