My boss's computer at work randomly reboots. I have checked the power cords first to make sure they are securely connected. That is not the problem. The computer gives no error and when it reboots it doesn't bring up any error problems. The computer is running Windows 2000 and has not had any new hardware installed within the last few months.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this thread as I have no clue why the computer is doing this. If it is wrong please correct me.

I would appreciate any help I can get. If you need more info about the computer just ask.

Have you tried replacing the AVR or the UPS? Mine was also like that until I replaced the AVR.

The computer isn't on a UPS. What is an AVR?

We are running Antivir so I am pretty sure that it isn't a trojan and isn't being rebooted remotely.

Update the video drivers. You can also update other drivers using Belarc Adviser.
