Well I'm halfway through my first build and have run into a snag. The hard drive that I bought is not a SATA like I somehow believed it to be, it is this:

And when hooking it up to my motherboard, which is this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131030

I noticed that I couldn't hook it up to the SATA inputs (it not being a SATA and all) so I had to hook it up through the IDE connector. But since there is only one IDE connector on my motherboard, this means that I can't hook up a CDROM drive or anything else, right?

Most likely, I will just get a SATA hard drive and forget about it, but I'm wondering if there is a way I can hook the computer up with this configuration.

So if I got this:

I would be cool right?

Thanks in advance.

Well you can connect the CDROM and the IDE hard drive on the same IDE connector. You just need an IDE cable with three connections. But I heard it isn't recommended to put opticals and hard drives together on one IDE cable. But yea I'd go with that WD SATA hard drive you chose at the end.

What if I wanted to hook up another optical drive in the future, could that one IDE port handle that? And how would that work?
