My parents moved the past weekened, and now their computer will not stay on longer than 5 seconds. All the fans are running and wires are hooked up. Dose anyone know a way to tell the cause of the problem? Thanks for the help

Does it even Boot all the way into windows? Take the side off an see if its full of dust. It's possible that something came loose inside. If your going to check the inside discharge and static in your body first by laying your hand on some metal.

the problem caused by the movement from a house to another. could be voltage difference between areas or instability of voltage cause damage to the power supply. anyway could be anything. none of us can say for sure.

Alright the computer will start and stay on, but there is no video. I replaced the video card with the same make and right model(AGP). But the minitor is still saying no signal. Any ideas?

wat kind of system is it ?

open the side panel and check if there are any poped capacitors or even blown

Our office computer recently had this problem.. It's a Dell, and kept just shutting off, & keeps shutting off quicker and quicker the more we tried to turn it back on.
Our tech says it's likely the CPU fan having gone out, thus shutting down as a safety feature (from overheating). Anyone else heard of this type of symptom/diagnosis??

Looks like the CPU fan is running fine... so much for that diagnosis. Maybe the wiring, like u said?
