Home page slow to open

HI---After installing and uninstalling a problematic Firefox, I began experiencing the trouble with opening my home page. I belive that some other sites are slower to open also. Hijackthis tells me that the URLSearchHook is missing---don't know if that is related or if I should fix that or not. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Possibly a virus.

I know i'll get blasted for this but I've run into this with firefox more than once.I qit using it cause it starts running like crap after just a few months. So i'll just stick with good ol IE....

I'm using ZA Internet Secuity and no viruses detected. I really think that Firefox caused the problem-----but what? Where? How?

just to be sure... how much ram you got

How long does it take to load, if its more than a min then ur in trouble

Naw!!! It doesn't take that long (1 minute) to load but it sometines takes too long, while other times it is loading quickly. Also occasionally it just hangs and won't load at all. By reinstall it I guess u mean Firefox. I don't want to do that as I feel Firefox created my problems.
