Press Extra Buttons On My Keyboard, and Comp. Freezes

You know those extra buttons on your keyboard? The ones that increase, decrease you volume, stop, refresh your web browser? Well when ever I just touch one of those, my os just freezes. It has just started happening, and my system restore isn't working.

Im using a Sk-8125 Dell keyboard.

Tried reinstalling drivers etcetera, no results.

Any suggestions?

i know this is prolly a stupid question but did u delete the drivers b4 the re installation

I can't delete the windows auto recognize drivers.

Can you be more specific?

What buttons did you push?
What happens when you push the buttons? You get a blue screen, error message?

The buttons are the extra feature internet (back, forwards, stop, refresh, home), and sounds (lower, higher, mute). All other buttons work fine.

However, when i press these extra buttons, all back ground processes jam up. Say im watching a movie and press mute, the video will still play, although explorer.exe will jam up (not respond to any thing), folders open wont come up, other progs, jam up.

But for some reason I can win+d, but that is no use seeing as explorer is jammed.




It is just like pressing these buttons overwhelms the cpu.
