Ok hereÂ’s my problem, My Operating Systems teacher can be a bit of a pain sometimes. (i.e. even if it's done right, unless you have do***ented proof of how you know what you've done it's wrong.)

What I have to do, delete IE icon off desktop and restore icon without
using a shortcut.

How to fix it: copy the .exe and paste it to the desktop.

I know this because IÂ’ve "fixed" a lot of "legit" .exe's before.

Does anybody possibly have any idea where I can find information on
replacing an icon without using a shortcut?

(before anybody asks, im a faithful firefox user)

what about using copy in command prompt. copy .exe from C:\programfiles\internet explorer to C:\do***entsandsettings\name\desktop.
open up command prompt and type "help copy" to make sure your syntax is correct.

not sure if thats what your looking for:rolleyes:
