Hi there.

I have this old laptop with Windows 98 on it.
and its a Compaq Armada 7800 anyway i would like to see if i can reinstall Windows 98 by doing the following.

1. I Have the Windows 98 CD
2. I Have a PSP (PlayStation's Handheld Device)

Since this laptop does not have any CD i thought that i would be able to install Windows 98 by copying the Windows 98 Setup files to the PSP's Memory Stick. and then connecting it to the laptop to install from the PSP to the laptop's hard drive to completely format and have the new system of Windows 98 runing.

Is this possible or no please assist on this.

(My PSP has :512MB)
(also i have my PSP working on the Windows 98)

don't know much about what the armada has...what it's bios supports...

in my mind...you could use an app like Daemon tools (if compatible with w98), mount an instance of win98 to something...

flash drive?
external hard drive?
random variable usb mass storage device?

if th psp is seen as an external hard drive device, should be ok...but again, not sure

I'm not quite sure if the laptop even has USB though. If it doesn't have CD-ROM, it won't have USB.

The laptop doesnt have a CD-ROM unless its some kinda plugin type or something. it has a Floppy drive. and one USB Port.

the psp does work on Windows 98
just used a driver that will work.

usb mass storage device is what happens when its installed. but it also says PSP Type A but this was found and installed by a driver.

and the PSP's Memory Stick (Duo). does say "Removable Disk" in my computer.

So would this work ?...
