My current setup is-

1.5gb RAM
Pentium 4 3ghz (HT, if it matters)
and a Radeon X700 256mb PCI-E.

I am looking to upgrade my graphics card, most likely to
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150195
or something to that sort (Nvidia 7900GT Pci-E 256mb). My question is that if I were to buy that card, would my somewhat older processor bottleneck my system? Choke the card? Or is my processor still good?

I am actually quite tempted to quit PC Gaming for good  .

It's basically a downclocked GTX. But can easily be overclocked to GTX speeds.

Since I am a total Dumbass, I assume that the GTX is good then.

Would you happen to know how the card would run games such as, say, Oblivion?

Other Thoughts: I upgraded from ATI X850 XT, what a huge improvement for gaming graphics, I can run Oblivion @ 1280 x 1024 all maxed without any problem, the X850 XT stumbled at 1024 x 768, very frustrating. Rig : Athlon 64 4000+, 2 Gigs Patriot PC3200, 2 x 250 Gig WD 16 MB drives, Watercooled with Coolermaster Aquagate

Wish I could get that on my current...erm...'rig'.

Thanks for showing me this :D .
