Law, why do you think newegg sells open box items? Because people return stuff that they don't no longer need because they changed their mind and got something else, they listed the reason for my RMA on the mushkin psu I got for "no longer needed."
Ok, never had to return anything from newegg though so I wouldn't know **** about RMA'ing stuff LOL. But I'm pretty sure newegg doesn't sell open box CPU or do they...
Newegg is weird about open box stuff. They barely ever change the prices so if you go look at graphics cards they used to have some older open box models that cost 2x as much as a new one.
im going to build a new computer and had all my parts picked out one of which was AMD X2 4400 socket 939...then socket AM2 came out and i was wondering what are some advantages to having AM2 over socket 939?
If your building a budget system, but still want good performance, I would recommend the S939. The prices have dropped considerably, and the performance in AM2 is not much better. C2D is a very good system setup, but the mobo and ram are still very high priced.
I'd go with your original build? Post it and we might be able to help tweak it out for you. let us know your budget as well...
you might want a raptor for the 74gb drive
and look at 7950gt or 7900gto for a vid card
that psu is very bland but it gets the job sone so keep it if you dont care, but i love the hiper
