it wont show up

when i look at my system infomy new hard drive shows up but when i go to my computer it only has the one 80 gb hd and i cant instal anything onn the new hd
the old one is ide the new one is sata

it is also showing in bios

Right click on My Computer, select Manage. Go to Disk Manager, does it show up there? You'll have to initialize it and format it.

it was unalocated i partitioned it and now it shows up

did it come with a instalation disk?

and now my computer tryies to boot off of it as it is a sata and is always master and it wont boot as the os isnt intsaled on it so im downlading ghost and using that to transfer everything on to it
