I need a good security program. I have seen this one that my school used called "Fool Proof Control". I'm pretty sure it was from Symantec.

My question is; can I use that program for any computer? I am buying a new computer, and would like to put the security program on both my old and new computer, to keep other people from using it.

This is the program I'm talking about; but how could you buy it? Straight from the creator with a credit card? It's really advanced, which i like :D

Any other suggestions for a good security program?

why would you even need it for 2 pc`s? all you do is setup admin rights for one and a user account then limit what someone can do on the other pc.

and that type of software never comes cheap if its only 2 pc`s you wont even need that type of thing.

If I just password protect the screen saver after 2 minutes, would that be much cheaper than buying a security program?

to keep people from using your computer you might want to consider a security token like this...

if you mean that you want people to not have the ability to mess with settings and files...

I advise STRONGLY against Foolproof Security my institution has used it for sometime and over the years I have learned to hate it...

the level of configurability is lacking...

a solution you may want to consider is

Microsoft Shared Computer Toolkit
(assuming your using windows XP)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sharedaccess/default.mspx

its free and I use it all the time with a high level of sucess
