Just recently I built a new computer..

Everything works properly, but the only problem I have, is when I try to install the hard drive drivers the mouse won't work.. the mouse does work, but its like it chooses when to work. It seems like I only have this problem when I try to install the hard drive.

SPECS

MOBO: P5NSLI
CPU: Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz
MEMORY: Dual Channel 1024 MB
VIDEO: ATI Raedon x800
HDD: SATA 2 Seagate 160 GB
MOUSE: Logitech MX300

There could be many possibilities why it doesn't work:

1. The Hard Drive is USB 2.0; so chances are, it will need a seperate PCI hub to use (You have USB full-speed on your motherboard, which is 20MB/s. USB high-speed is 120MB/s).

2. Try plugging the mouse into another USB port, or buy a USB - PS2 adapter. They run pretty cheap ($3).

3. Check for spyware; although on a new computer, that's not an issue.
