One of my mates has a computer with 256 Mb of ram and is using 32Mb of it as onboard video... I have a very old 8 Mb Sis 6326 AGP lying around and I was wondering if that would help him with his gaming experience or just make it worse...

His onboard is going to be better than your card
He should consider at least getting a geforce 2 or something cheap even if it's all he can afford, that'll give him a big jump over whatever 32mb pos integrated graphics he's got now.

My old video card I'm using now (2002) is much better than my stock Intel 865 graphics, because it has a fan on it, and works pretty nicely.

If the video card has a fan on it, it should be better than the chipset. Otherwise, it will be trash.

Nah it has no fan.. Not even a heatsink.. Just the GPU exposed... So leave him to use his onboard you think?
