So I am looking to upgrade my brother's computer for him, he mainly does gaming and homework on his comp.
His comp specs:
- AMD Athlon 2400+ processor (2.0ghz)
- 512 RAM (one stick)
- nVidia geforce fx 5600 128mb
I want to upgrade to a more recent nVidia card, preferrably a 6600 or 6800. I also want to add one stick of 512 ram, probably Kingston or Corsair.
Here is his mobo and ram info:
- biostar group
- KM400-8237
- VIA chipset
- his mobo supports up to 8x
- ram speed: pc2100
- ram type: DDR
Haven't found out the power supply wattage yet, I am guessing it is between 300 watts and 400 watts.
He plays cod 2, css, and WoW, with no problems.
His computer case is pretty small, I don't want the card to get too hot in there. I also want to make sure it will fit in there.
This is his case:

Once again, he doesn't play too many graphically demanding games, mainly WoW, css, cod 2 and some rts games.
Thanks for your guys help.
