validation with new mobo

Ive installed a new motherboard into my computer and obviously have had to reinstall windows. Ive got a genuine serial key but its registered to the way my computer was built before so now it says vaildation failed. Is there something online about fixing this or do i have to ring them? Would rather sort it online because they only answer the phone on weekdays and would really like it sorted tonight.

You should phone and beg (politely) for a new serial, maybe say your old mobo died or something?

There is ways round it though to tell it to bugger off if you are in windows.

well my old motherboard did die

guess ill have to wait till tomorro to ring them

Just explain that your motherboard burnt out, Microsoft will fix it.

sorted it. Rang their free phone number, explained what had happened guy said no bother how many computers are you running it on, i said 1 and he gave me the code. job done
