eXtreme PSU Calculator - v2.0

Many questions on the forum about this, so.....

See how big your power supply needs to be.
Includes Oc'd processors, Lights and Fans, and Watercooling Setups.
(Lots of options)

StickY? :)

i may need an psu upgrade whit everything on my comp i am at 355 and my psu wattage 350  its lasted this long may get one for christmas

Calculators are good in some ways. For example they give you a remote IDEA of how much "Wattage" you may need however. It doesn't take into account the Quality of the Power supply you buy or any upgrades you do.

This is why You should never get exactly the wattage any given calculator gives you. Should always Buy a quality PSU and one with more then just "sufficent" wattage.

Nope sorry.

I agree with nitestick, I never have been a big fan of these at all.

And I don't like how it only tells you wattage.

12V rails in my mind are more important.

indeed, as the current drawn from any one rail determines whether it will operate. no point having a 460W PSU if that is an 80 Ampere 5V rail and a 5A 12V rail. in my opinion for noobies, it should just be deliberately overestimated. with experience you get something of a "feel" for power requirements.
