Feels wierd posting here again, but i am back with a quick prob i need solved.

I have a WD 500GB external hdd. My laptop has 100gb, with 2 partitions. Windows installed on a 10gb one, and the rest for data.

When i try to transfer a file that is bigger than the free space of my c drive onto my external, i get a "Drive is full" error. Is there a way to change the temp buffer to a different drive? Or is there a different way to fix this?

Thanks,
Will

I think he means the file he is trying to transfer is on the 90 gb partition and he doesn't have that much space left.

There may be another way but you could try hooking the external hdd to another system and transfer some files threw the home network untill you have enough space to fool around with.
