yo, im looking to build my next pc and i will have a budget of around £600-£700 now im a complete noob wen it comes to hardware and stuff, so just looking for the best hardware i can get for my budget and that does inc the case

Case: Cooler Master Centurion 5 ~ $50
PSU: Antec True Power 2 550W ~$80
Motherboard: ASUS P5B ~$150
CPU: Intel Core 2 E6600 ~$320
Ram: GSKILL 2X1GB DDR2 800 ~$240
GPU: EVGA 7950GT ~$300

This is a pretty bad *** system you can upgrade the case and what not to make even better all prices are in US should be around your budget. got all prices from newegg

hmm well £700 is my max limit and would prefere it if parts were from the uk :) cheers anyway tho.

just look for those parts froma uk site because idk any sry.
i think that $1200 is about 600 pounds right?

That would come out to about 750. Drop down to a E6300 and you should be close. I looked at Misco.co.uk and similar parts come to about that amount but I don't know of any good UK sites.

hmm well iv had a few ppl sayin that i should get a AMD cus u got alot more for ur money and its not far off the new intel chip in respect to performance

whoever told you that is stuck in the past because there is no better processor out right now then the Intel Core 2 Duos, the $320 Core 2 Duo E6600 out performce the $1000 AMD FX 62, so dont listen to whoever told you that

Yep, anyone who says AMD is better than Intel at this point in time is wrong. Core 2 duo's are the best around :)

kool well theres a website that has good deals www.overclockers.co.uk and they have like weekly deals and the new intel chips are usually in them. how much am i looking at to get a motherboard that can take the intel chip?

Asus P5B (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-151-AS) =£94.99
Intel Core 2 DUO E6400 "LGA775 Allendale" 2.13GHz (1066FSB) - Retail = £140.99
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 2500KS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM = £46.99
