No, that processor is extremely slow. Try and find either a dual-core Turion, or a Core Duo, or Core 2 Duo. That is the equivalent of a Sempron 2800+ :umm:
 
I was thinking about an Alienware laptop too.

Alienware looks awesome but there a little more expensive then they should be.
 
I'd say mine is, absolutely. I have the Turion one with 2gb of ram (had a gig from my last laptop) and I can run Oblivion on High setings at 1024x768 perfectly, I haven't even tried tweaking it yet. I got a nice 3dmark05 score out of it too but I can't remember it.
Anyways it's fast, thin, light (6lbs!), has a great screen and very good built in graphics, that's why I got it. Free shipping via Newegg too. Shipping from ABS starts at $50...
So I recommend it highly, either model looks very good and the reviews are good too.
edit: actually ABS does make benchmarks available on their site. They look like they're for the maxed out configuration of their respective laptops but it should give you an idea of how fast they are and how they compare performance-wise to eachother.
