AMD probably payed Dell big $$$ to put their processors in Dell's systems.

why would AMD pay Dell when Dell is buying processors from AMD? if their were some sort of an incentive provided by AMD it would be a discount

They are probably both getting a good deal side-by-side. AMD is getting more advertising, Dell is paying less for processors, and opening up a new market. It's Win-Win.

I don't see that many HP commercials...

I see alot of Dell and Gateway commercials, as well as Best Buy.

Honestly, i don't even know much about AMD, even after 6000 posts on this forum...

Yep, and learn that megahertz doesn't matter anymore. Even the C2D aren't 4 or 5 gigahertz, but they are fast.
