Hi, i've been a mac guy for quite a while. now i'm looking for a PC, but i'm worried about the spyware, adware and virus issues. But i figure any pc is subject to those issues. my question is what PC would you guys use and recommend?

Well if you want style go Mac... But if you want power go Pc... If you get a trusted antivirus such as Norton or Pc-Cillin and a Ad-Aware blocker such as "Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad-Aware" the you will be fine...Mac's are not the best for games... What is your budget so I know what parts to recommend?

Mac or PC?

are you serious? lol.

j/k bro.

i personally would go PC, but if you plan on doin alot of video and audio editing go MAC.
as far as spyware, adware, malware, viruses.....blah blah blah. just get the right software and dont worry about it. Norton, pc cillin, spybot. just run them frequently and you sould be fine. i mean the three ways of getting viruses and stuff is porn, p2p sharing(limewire, moorpheus ect...) and downloading games or demos from untrusted sites. so as long as you dont do that, you will be ok. i reccomen norton. i love it and if you have it set right it will stay out of your way and do its job.,

Mac or PC Depends on what you want to do.

I would Say if yourprimary use is Gamming (New Games) Then Build a Custom PC. But if you just Emailing and websurfing then Go Mac. (And I Guess Video Editing too)
Just an IMO.

Depends really on your price range, and your knowledge.. if you want a good performing computer for 800 dollars, your best bet would be a PC...

Stick with Macs, you're gunna hate life if you get a PC and realize how bad Windows sucks.

If you are at all computer savy, Linux may be worth looking in to, but if you open the Finder, and go to Applications -> Utilities, and this is the first time you've ever seen "Terminal" then Linux is probably not for you.

RIGHT because a $600 Dell can match the performance of a Core Duo Mac Mini, and I guess you mean that there aren't many games out for Mac OS X? Great, put Windows on it. http://apple.com/bootcamp

RIIIGHT because Macs are for old ladies who just need to check their email.

O RLY? iMac Core 2 Duo = $899

Aside from all these useless posts that didn't even answer the question which wasn't "mac or pc" it was "what PC do you guys use and recommend" If you'd read his post at all, you'd see that he has been a Mac guy his whole life, so he probably knows that Macs are just for checking your email.

I would say your best bet is to build one yourself, because Dell and all those major brands suck.
