i am building my PC and i read you can test your system with only a PSU, VGA ( mines intergated), CPU and memory.

when i turn on the system the monitor is blank and i get long beeps.

I have a phoenix bios.

i've tried clearing the cmos but still nothing.

can someone please help me.

List all Components including the PSU.

I do not have the beeps memorized but I believe that is bad RAM.
So try Other RAM Sticks or try one Stick at a time. (Make surePSU is off before changing parts)

Refer to your motherboards manual for true Beep meaning. (Every BIOS is Different)

Yeah it was the memory. I had to fit it back into its slot.
Now everything is working fine. My new system is up and running.:p

Thanks guys.
