which processor better for graphic intensive games? I plan on playing games like UT2007 or Command Conquer Tiberium wars....shuld i just switch to a conroe instead? Im planning gettin a bfg 7800 gs so im pretty sure that isnt a problem.

Well Conroe right now beats everything in gaming. And why not get a 7950GT, they're in the same price range as the 7800gs.

Get a Core 2 Duo E6400, And a 7950Gt... Then you will have a nice Cpu & Gpu for future games and todays playing on high

don't go with a 7800GS as seeing as you will be getting a new motherboard there is no reason to go for AGP. you'll be hearing plenty of echoes for Core 2 and i'm one of them. check out the e6600 Conroe
