monitor not working with gpu

my monitor is not turning on when i boot the comp up it stays on stand by mode. tried two different monitors both work on other pcs so narrowed it down to something wrong with the video card. can someone tell me why my monitor isnt turning on with the pc?

try changing around your ram, eithor replaceing it , swapping them around or taking 1 stick out,

Is this a new problem? Did you change any hardware or do any changes whatsoever?

sorry just built my comp so im not sure what it is. hasnt worked from the beginning.

the fan on the vidcard spins so i assume its working

Just because the fan spins doesn't mean it works.

Did you plug in the auxillary power connector (if available)? Look on the back for a Molex or 6-pin PCI-e connector (Depending what kind of video card you have, whether it be AGP or PCI-e).

its pci e and it doesnt seem to have any kind of power connector

Hmm, it comes with a powercable so I'd imagine it needs auxillary power.
